Beautiful. Someone gave me some seeds once and I tried but guess they only will grow in Texas.

I wish I could just hop in the car and come over and see the wildflowers. Also I read your previous post about pet---oh you know. Most people think I am Lala cause I love that scent. I have soaps, oils, creams and anything I can come across. I am sure going looking for the plant. Probably will have to order it on line. I will be willing to bet no one in little old B'town will have it.

Oh my, these photos are beautiful. I've always wanted to visit during bluebonnet season, but haven't made it yet. Perhaps I'll add that to my bucket list! Thanks for your well wishes for my house hunting. Not an easy thing to do when you want to rent, rather than buy, but I'm believing for it. ♥

Nola, I love the bluebonnets! So very, very lush and colorful. I wonder what the red flowers are that are intermingled with them - ? poppies perhaps. Thanks for stopping by and telling me about your cat! You're a good person for taking care of him!
Have a wonderful day, Nola!
Hugs, Beth

Nola, the bluebonnet fields are so pretty!

Do bluebonnets have a pretty odor? Is it true that Ladybird Johnson had a lot to do with having bluebonnets planted all over Texas (I think I remember reading that once)

oh wow! that's so pretty to see! Here the county plants strips of flowers in the median strips down our by ways and high ways. It sure makes for a pleasant drive. Wish I could get poppies to grow the way they manage to do it. :)

Gail they do grow other places.
Beth the orange are Indian Paintbrush.
Pat yes Ladybird had a lot to do with protecting our wildflowers.
There are a lot of yellow wildflowers mingled in, too, mainly common broomweed and wild mustard.

The 'bonnets and 'brushes are gorgeous!!! We have sand bonnets, a shorter version of the bluebonnet, but they aren't as stately as yours. Loved the pictures! Thanks, Nola, for sharing. Our azaleas are outstanding this year.

It seems someone went to Provence and took some flowers from there... ;)

Texas bluebonnets look exactly like California lupine. Could that be true? It's beautiful no matter where it grows or what it's called. Mimi
